Our vision is focused in three directions:
.

  • Upward: We are committed to honoring God in our corporate worship of Him, as directed by His Word and expressed through preaching, teaching, prayer, and the observance of the sacraments.
  • Inward: We are committed to growth as the body of Christ in our corporate fellowship, encouraging members to use their gifts for the edification of the church through participation in Lord’s Day worship, community groups, and other church-community events.
  • Outward: We are committed to an earnest evangelism through our corporate witness, promoting the Gospel as the primary means of redemption and the reason for the hope that we profess to a watching world.

Our Beliefs

The Word of God

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, infallible and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

.

The Trinity

We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons; that these are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the works of creation, providence and redemption.

.

God the Father

We believe in God the Father, an infinite, eternal and unchangeable spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, love, justice and truth. We believe that He providentially foreknows all that shall come to pass, that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer according to His divine will, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ

.

God the Son

We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten eternal Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to earth.

.

God the Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide.

.

Sin and Salvation

We believe that man was created by God in His own image; that he sinned and thereby incurred guilt and physical, spiritual and eternal death, which is separation from God; that as a consequence, all human beings are born with guilt before God and are sinners by choice and therefore under condemnation. We believe that those who are regenerated by the Holy Spirit are made able to repent and forsake sin and embrace Jesus Christ as Savior, thus receiving new hearts; the Spirit applies salvation to believers, allowing them to partake of justification, adoption, sanctification, and the eternal hope of glory.

..

The Church

We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are its members. We believe in the local visible church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith, and associated for the teaching and embracing of true Gospel doctrine, the proper administration of the sacraments, and the faithful application of church discipline. We believe that God has laid upon the local church the primary task of proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ within and without her bounds, in the midst of a lost and broken world.

..

Christian Conduct

We believe that a Christian should live for the glory of God and the well-being of his fellow man; that his conduct should be without blame before the world; that he should be a faithful steward of his possessions; and that he should seek to realize for himself and his brethren the full stature of maturity in Christ.

.

Christian Ordinances (Sacraments)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has instituted two ordinances to the local church: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that these two ordinances are signs by which Christ and the benefits of the new covenant are represented, sealed and applied to believers, and that they should be faithfully administered and observed until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

.

Marriage, Gender and Sexuality

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female, and that these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. We believe that God created marriage to be exclusively the union of one man and one woman, and that intimate sexual activity is to occur within that union.

.

Last Things

We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the consummation of the new heavens and the new earth. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal joy of the elect in Christ and the eternal damnation of the wicked.
